Internet is a "place " a little crazy and even worse there are people there saying crazy things. With so many stammers , scams , click here and you will get rich. How to know who to believe ? New bloggers (especially if you have business interests ) can be trapped in a spiral that will lead to confusion and cessation project.
Luckily most are coming to the conclusion that if you want to make money online hard work and dedication is needed.
Here are some important tips that I have met in my years as a blogger.
Narrow your learning.
Not to say that is not important to learn new things but it is very common for new bloggers get caught in what I call the "infinite learning." They want to learn how to make a blog and make money online and start to read and read and read and pay courses , mentors, tutors , advanced programs.
It is important to learn the basics but more important is to act . Create your blog, start writing , try different strategies , make mistakes. This is how it will achieve only success , as much as you learn to read and if you do nothing with the learned , nothing will succeed.
Discard that attitude.
- If you want to succeed you will have to get rid of some attitudes that can hinder your performance.
- I'll do it tomorrow.
- No how.
- I'm not as smart as you.
- I have no time.
- I have a title, I'm smarter than you.
- I am an expert in all subjects.
- No one is making money online
- (This list can be almost endless, you get the idea.)
The attitude of a blogger should S to share, create community, worry about their subscribers, engage and generally being a friendly and close person.
Create a schedule .
Working on a computer connected to the Internet is a big distraction , including social networks, emails , comments, and other interesting articles , it is very easy to lose a long time. You must create a calendar and assign a specific time to each task . You have to adjust to your schedule or otherwise erode your productivity and you're delaying your success.
Use a template payment .
One of the main advice I give to new bloggers is to buy a template and do not use a free . Why? Not because they are more colorful and optimized for search engines ( as well) . It is for the SUPPORT .
Most bloggers are not technical , much less people with programming skills . By using a free template you do not have any support and often have to do a lot of design changes to fit the needs . Instead when you purchase a template you usually have the support of developers through forums or direct questions. Whatever your doubt they will try to resolve it. This will save you the time to find out for yourself how to adjust your template or money to hire someone to do it for you.
In my resource page you can find links to several companies that offer templates for WordPress with great support.
Do not wait for the traffic.
The quote: " If you do it they will come" does not work. You have to work hard to get traffic and there are many ways to do it but to keep it simple let's leave in two main ways:
- Promotion.
- SEO .
Promotion are all efforts you make to publicize your content networks , social , mailing lists , advertisements, comments on other blogs, guest posts author, etc. .
Search engine optimization tasks are optimizing your website to achieve top rankings in the search results. In my post : 8 Keys to build a successful blog there are some basic tips on SEO for blogs.
Do not pretend to be what you are not.
Do not pretend to be successful and make people believe that these making money when it is not . Do not pretend to know everything when in reality you know nothing , or almost nothing .
How will you succeed and if you intend to be successful?
New bloggers have more to learn 100 % , 100% more distractions but also have 100% more chance of success. Everything depends on you !
Do you think these tips are useful ? What else would you give you a new blogger ? Let me know in the comments.
